How To Make Homemade Lip Scrub
*Warning, may cause excessive licking of lips due to deliciousness*
Hey Lovelies! Today I’m so excited to bring you a little tutorial for some Homemade Lip Scrub. I’ve literally just made it, applied it, washed it off and my lips feel so soft! It smells so delicious. This can be made for yourself, or even as a little gift.
This Homemade Lip Scrub is to be used as a little treatment, I would suggest using this homemade lip scrub once a day.
This is what the finished product looks like 😀
Super Simple Homemade Lip Scrub Recipe
You Will need:
Sugar
A little container to put in in (Old Eyeshadow pot, cleaned and disinfected.)
Vaseline (Or some sort of petrolium Jelly/Lipbalm)
Golden Syrup! (You don’t have to use this, you could just use the Vaseline & Sugar, or you could be adventurous and try chocolate sauce or something!),
A bowl
A Microwave
(This Recipe Makes approximately 5grams of it, the average amount in an eyeshadow pot.)
Step 1: Place 2 heaped teaspoons of Sugar in a Bowl.
Step 2: Place a heaped teaspoon of Vaseline in the bowl (Rough amount shown above)
Step 3: Then add the Golden Syrup, or whatever floats your boat, into the bowl.
Step 4: Place in the Microwave for 30 seconds on it’s highest setting.
Step 5: Once its cooled down (it gets very hot, trust me, just ask my burnt fingers:) Take the bowl out of the microwave.
Step 6: Mix with a teaspoon.
It should look like this:
If not, just add more sugar if its too runny, or add more Vaseline if it’s too sugary.
Step 7: Place it all into the pot/container, and smooth over the top.
Step 8: If you want, you can get a piece of paper and make a little label. I think this makes it seem more homemade.
It may still be warm, from the microwave, so I put it in the fridge for 10 minutes, while I was making the Label. You may want to put in the fridge after using, so the Vaseline can set again, because it’s been melted.
Voila! Your Finished! This tastes super nice, and leaves a DELICIOUS after taste once you’ve washed it off 😀
To use:
1. Apply like a normal lip balm.
2. Rub into lips.
3. Leave for a couple of minutes.
4. Wash off with warm water.
5. Apply your favourite Lip Balm.
I really hope you liked reading this. It was the first time I’ve ever made any beauty product from scratch, and it was so fun! I think I might start making these as little gifts, it’s so affordable! I may start to make other little products too!
